I'm glad you like it and I didn't steer you wrong. It's so versatile, but yes, the secret sauce is that spacing, transparency and stage, plus it's ability to deal with busy tracks makes it a must for metalheads.

Totally agree. The spacing is impeccable and so is the stage always seems perfect to the nature of the song played. As you note, transparency, as in no unnatural peaks to any frequency, is also excellent and helps a lot for metal. Imaging is superb. No congestion, clearly delineated. Definite must for metal heads. I picked up my 660s2; its detail resolution seems better to my ears. But the other parameters, for its price, Trio is pretty awesome indeed. Balanced, spacious, and musical.

The detail resolution is a result of the FR or is there something else in drivers itself that enhances it?

BQEYZ Wind and IMR Ozar have all genres I listen to covered for the office.
Noble Kaiser Encore still loved at home.

Honourable mention for the Hiby Hela that partners so well with the RS2 on the odd occasion I am truly mobile, Still loving a couple of years on, which can't be said for a lot of my gear.
