The level of craftsmanship which has been put into designing those shells is unmatched. I don’t think any metal shell is designed so meticulously. Not at that price point for sure. If you are worried about the durability, I think these are quite durable.
Hey, thanks for the comment!

But you seem to read only a small part of what I wrote.
Hmm... no worries, actually, regarding designing things and visuals. I have 30 years of experience doing that professionally; that's my calling.

Sound is my hobby, and I am affectionate to Hi-Fi...but visuals are another story... how could you know that? You never asked, right :)

Cheers!

What does heaven look like/feel like in your mind ??? :)

Cheers!

P.S. I placed an order for EA2000 yesterday. We'll see in a month (so they say) if it's heaven, too. :)
EA500 LM.

I wish there is an upgrade to this little buddy, but I can only find Ifi Go Blu, which is maybe more like a side grade to BTR7
Have you considered Topping G5? Usable as both wired and wireless DAC, and also function as a standalone amp. The amp is quite impressive. The DAC is passable.

I am seeing Shanling H2 as well. If budget is not an issue I would definitely recommend Dethonray Pegasus SG1

And little question for who has both Simgot EW200 and EA500LM, how far are their gap?

So good to be home again here. Cheers!
This is exactly the kind of question I would get a serious answer too. Guess we'll have to wait for reviews from other reviewers. In the reviews published so far, no one has attempted to answer it in detail.

Ok, so the EW200 is not tunable, whereas the EA500LM has 3 tuning nozzles. 8 kHz is a coupler peak below.

I will be comparing the EW200 against the closest tonal graph of the EA500LM, which is the gold/red nozzle, so as to try to have a similar FR (apples to apples comparison).
EW200 versus EA500LM Goldred.jpg

The EA500LM is harder to drive, and it has a bit of a thicker sub-bass. So it sounds a tinge heftier in note weight. Timbre is more natural on the EA500LM.

EA500LM has improved soundstage, imaging and instrument separation, but it is not night-and-day better -> ie diminishing returns. It is not even 2x better. Maybe ballpark I would say perhaps 20% or so better only?

Do they have LDAC codec with bluetooth? I don't need them as wired dingling dangling dongle, as I like the freedom of the wireless while still have better sound quality, great DAC and LDAC (990 kbps)

*edited : nvm, both support LDAC and other various codec as APTX HD, adaptive, aac, sbs etc.
Topping G5 is using es9068AS like Fiio M11 plus ESS (but M11 plus ess have 2 of them) while Pegasus SG1 is using es9038Q2M. I'll put them into consideration (size, price, performance) or maybe i just hunt for another WM1A and use Mr Walkman firmware with WM1Z emulation.

Thanks again for the inputs

Thanks broo that was a straight loud and clear answer. Even the graph also very similar tuning (with that filter)

Yo whats up friends? Crazy to think how I spent almost 1 month to catch up every pages here when I missed all the posts from around November 2023. I'm pretty much on pause game, or near end game with Z1R and Mest paired with Fiio M17 and BTR7 for portable, and I managed not to buy nearly anything in half year (except castor to test, and I got 1 nice TWS buy, the soundpeats Engine4 - dual DD TWS with superb tuning with LDAC, oh and 1 edifier GX05 gaming TWS that near lagless due 2.4ghz connectivity other than Bluetooth for my gaming needs).
… same

I have the Tmsr X coming please try the Divinus Velvets as they are my go to tips for comfort and seal along with Sedna earfit lights would a pain if they are the sibilance inducing tips as I have huge ear canals and struggle to get good fits with many others.
No sibilans for me with Velvets. Do not have the Sednas😊.
