First impressions Penon Quattro:
Probably the first thing that hits you is how wonderfully analogue and timbre-perfect the Quattro is. Where upon first listening (in our over-stimulated world) you could be forgiven for asking for more brightness or clarity.........maybe? But then you go to a more high-power source and the Quattro comes alive.......it really does.......finding stark transients that somehow boost the clarity into perfection. I forgive some reviewers for their naivety..........but in all honesty switching from my WM1A DAP to the Penon Tail or the TA desktop opened the avenue-up to a fabulous adventure? :) Such we find home speaker like smoothness with just the right amount of clarity and (clear) emotional involvement. I'm sorry but...............to me anyway.......the Quattro is a solid 10/10.........just due to the improvement over the Serial with deeper and bigger bass, and fun-fast imaging way out into the stage sides? Sure the Quattro needs 200 hours of burn-in.........but I'm pretty sure I have a handle of what it is? Wonderfully 100% Penon in a boring world of boring or too technical IEMs....................................it sounds like I'm in a room with floor-standers?

Ditch the BA timbre.............forever. That's my motto for the Quattro!

You can crank it with these, way further that you can imagine?

Seems to have tuning nozzles, and importantly, it seems the nozzles are longer than the OG Oxygen, which caused fitting issues.

I got $500 and it's burning a hole in my pocket! Want the Neo 3 but its not out yet...... :) :musical_score::fire:

That can buy you 1/2 of a KZ Krila!

Kiddin, but for $500 there's lots of good stuff you can get. Even 2nd hand TOTL stuff. I managed to snag a used Sony M9 at $500 USD.

My finger has been hovering on the buy button in the last few days …

Thanks for taking one for the team.

Congrats, you are now one of the 100 worldwide exclusive owners of the "LEGENDARY" KZ pokemon. Well, at least until next week, when a PRO version of this KZ comes out!

I got a feeling you might like the Neo3 more vs the Quattro.

I seen some post about how a 6mm dynamic can't be as potent as a bigger dynamic for bass. Wait till the NEO3 comes out.

Its not the bees knees when it comes to bass but it will surprise a lot of people.

I’d like to thank ToneDeafMonk for the PA02 rec. as a compulsive Amazon purchaser, I’ve bought countless iems over the past year. Bang for buck, the pula compete with everything I’ve purchased. Maybe it’s the tuning, but I prefer it to my SA6 MK2 and Variations. Next purchase is definitely Hype 4. Still waiting on my ZMF Bokeh.
Compulsive Amazon purchaser as in the non audio products also? The world's best nailcutter for example (yes a product sells like that)

FedEx let me down on my OD200 delivery today, claiming I wasn’t available despite nobody attempting to deliver.

Another day to wait…
Fedex does that :poop: all the time! I hate Fedex!

Is it a "bass monster" in your opinion? What about the bass didn't you like?

Its got elevated bass as a lot of ISN IEMs do but its also got mids and enough treble to back it up. Sound can be a bit intimate but surprisingly spacious at the same time. Its definitely got that immersion factor. I think it sounds great for vocal music and acoustic stuff. Very excellent for bassy genres. Rock and metal sounds great too. Scales nicely to amplification.

Very musical sounding IEM. Neutral guys need not apply but for folks that love them some music that sounds like music. The NEO3 is an easy recommend.

Fedex does that :poop: all the time! I hate Fedex!

They did it to me two days in a row with the OD200, I genuinely thought the driver twice attempted delivery at a wrong address and then I contacted customer service fearing they wouldn't try to redeliver again as they state on their website they only attempt to deliver twice. Frankly quite annoying and even stressful besides all the waste of time. Why are they doing this?

I had to navigate the bus and subway system from Manhattan to the Fedex main shop in Queens at the freakin airport to stop them from returning my AresII DAC to China...didn't get home till after 10PM :triumph:

I guess FedEx is pretty terrible worldwide. They always leave a sticker on my front door saying that they missed me even when I was home all day and they never rang the doorbell. In situations where they they don't allow me to sign the sticker and leave it at my front door for authorized delivery, I always call them up and ask them to save it for me at one of their locations for pickup. Otherwise I would never get my packages.

Speaking of cables, I just got my XINHS five element alloy cable (gold, copper, graphene, silver, palladium). Comes in a nice case and everything. Was reading XINHS on the case backwards and it perfectly reads as SHNIX, I like this name much better (lol).

How much was that cable? 5 alloys?! LOL I like SHNIX too. haha
