Why should I not hype this crazy good pair. I always believe in having a good source because some iems can behave unimaginably good on good sources. I am listening to the EA1000 on Astell&Kern Sp3k, the cable is a very normal 4.4mm cable that comes with Noble Kublai Khan. There is massive soundstage thanks to the dap. The high are much sorted and the bass has better slams. Such a goosebumpy ride it is. Putting a price of 200usd is just too absurd.

No. It's just that people want to overanalyze posts, take their paranoia, and impose that on the thread. It's happening in a comic book group I belong to. This very type of "beefing". All it takes is for a cable to be mentioned, a tip to be mentioned, an IEM to be mentioned, a DAP to be mentioned, or a dongle, and if it's getting any kind of traction or kind words, instead of agreeing to it, saying thank you, or just saying "i'll reserve comment until I've actually listened to it", there's always some paranoid take, negative comment, or over-analysis of what a poster actually means when they post something or their true intentions. It gets annoying tbh, but we keep coming back. Nature of the beast, my friend. Nature of the beast.

Quintet for $65 would be REALLY tempting... I feel like Kiwi Ears is more trustworthy for good tuning at this point than Moondrop, tho. And I'm assuming the individual components are just more expensive on the Quintet if there's THAT much of a price difference.

It was nice getting an impression of BT Input -> Line Output for the MC101.
If you get a chance to connect some non-amplified speakers, please update the review.

One question - Don't the speaker outputs appear to be binding posts, rather than RCA jacks?

As I mentioned, I use only the aux mode of Tronsmart speaker and I connected it to amplifier's pre-out jack.

Got to demo the OH700VB. It belongs to @Ace Bee. After the OD200, I was really excited to try out this one. Sadly, folks at Oriveti can’t send me a unit to review. They have run out of samples, lol.

This pair is definitely a keeper. Paired it with Astell&Kern SP3000.

• It is quite good at details and technicalities.
• Vocals are too good on it. Mids are really sweet. I love those mids. Not recessed at all, rather quite forward.
• With the bass switches on, it’s a blissful sound all the way.
• Treble is surprisingly good on it.
• Soundstage and imaging are quite good, which I think I did not expect.

I need to spend some more time with these to have a proper idea of how it sounds with different genres and different sources.

Day 2 with the Penon Dome.
This set is very "emotionally engaging" and "musical" and overall simply an immensely enjoyable listen.
I would say it's especially good with vocals, but it's a Penon so it has that magical "house sound" that they're known for.
Cable is the "Hakugei Rose."
Great synergy, IMO.

It's very odd that Fosi built this nice vintage BT amp without considering the best audio codecs, but only SBC and AAC... it makes no sense, even my older T20 has at least aptX-HD.
Very good review though.
