I would like to get some earbuds, but they always drop from my ear.

Any recommendation?
Have you tried any of the recent earbuds based on the classic Sennheiser MX500 shell? Those are light, so they won't fall out like a lot of metal-shelled earbuds can since they can just rest lightly in your ear. The best one of those to start with is the Yincrow X6, which runs about $10-15 on AliExpress:

Info on the original (20+ year old) Sennheiser MX500:

My R1 just got to the local post office, hopefully I get to listen to it tonight! I'd say I'm vibrating with anticipation but someone on here might measure the vibration and try and argue what sound signature it has...
It has a very balanced sound signature with a slight bass emphasis

Not to push into buying more, but DTE900 is epic 😁

I started using mine with the same cable yesterday too. Still wish I got mine with custom faceplates though. The stock faceplates don't look as nice in person as they do in photos.

I re-listened to the OG 7Hz Zero last night. And I'm really feeling how different everyone's perception of things is. I feel like there's ample bass and sub-bass. I could use a slight hint of a boost to the slam. But that's about it, there's surprising amounts of detail on the top end, and I don't seem to get the harshness above 10k that Crin mentioned they tamed in the Zero 2. I wouldn't be surprised if I prefer the original over the 2 when all is said and done.

Which custom faceplate is that?
Is it C13 by any chance?
Some are hard to tell how it will look irl.
But those are stunning!
Also, would you be able to give a quick comparison with the Penon 10th AE?
I really like the 10th, but it is a THICC BOI, and sometimes wish it had a faster, more nimble bass and I think the DTE900 might be what I'm looking for.

Where at times there is some bass. But it’s not always consistent I think? Where in my original Zero review I used the song by The Cure, All Cats Are Gray. Such a song I have been familiar with for 30 years and the Zero doesn’t quite get the low end. Still the top end is very good just not the most detailed. I wouldn’t be surprised if the original is better too. As those mids are crazy good, especially with timbre, and especially for $19?

What the Zero does on the Cure song is get the sound of the mid-frequency drums exactly right, and shows amazing pace and texture. I have brought the Zero back to do so many comparisons since its release. The vocals are amazing with the original Zero for what they are. Fit is perfect too.

Is it just me or passive radiator is going to be the new trend with chifi?
The ultimate 2023 IEM:
Has 2DDs, 4BAs, a planar, piezo, passive radiator and 4 ESTs...
And a modular cable.
Also, it will do the dishes and mow the lawn.

You forgot about bone conduction and switches.

The hype lately has been around single driver IEMs that are tuned well so I think 2024 will start off with a similar banger.
  • Single DD like the Oriveti OD200.
  • Single BA like the Aful MagicOne.
  • Single Planar Magnetic like the Hidizs MP145.

The ultimate 2024 IEM:

Moondrop PR1 (model name pending)
  • Has a single passive radiator
  • Wireless
  • Waifu packaging (obviously)
  • Party trick: you can hear your own thoughts in hifi.
