Well, the Zero 1 is not perfect, yet it makes full-on romance due to just how the midrange is performed. Sure we knew on day one the bass was lacking and the treble at a loss for detail. And sure this new tune will probably sell product. And sure I have one in the mail, but I suspect there will be a slight loss of magic in the midrange with this new one. The old Zero was the best $19.99 midrange ever made by mankind! When you add distractions to the left and to the right on the graph, that’s what you get lesser mids. Not to mention over 50,000 people have read the Zero1 reviews, that’s more than any IEM in history.

I predict the Zero 2 will be untouchable under 50 bucks.

What tops that really? Maybe a KZ planar with the same tuning but that's a pipe dream.

Zero 2 is tuned to HBB's target, funny enough.

I am currently considering the Hiby FC6. Anyone have any experience with this dongle?
I previously had the Cayin RU6 but got rid of it when I got the RU7.
Although I liked the RU6, it had a fair amount of EMI from my cell phone.
Thankfully, the RU7 has a lot less interference even it is occasionally present.
My main desktop DAC is an R2R [Gustard R26] and I do enjoy the lush, organic timbre that these types of converters produce.
I would be using this on-the-go as an alternative to my main portable device [Hiby R6 Pro II].
One thing that gives me slight pause is the fact that the FC6 is only single-ended, but it might not be a deal-breaker necessarily.

The store is definitely fishy....how can they sell this IEM (https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/1005006267373842.html) for 418€, when I bought it a few months ago in Idlefish directly from the maker for 699 RMB (about 90€)?!...(it's clearly the same IEM as the photos are the same as the ones on Idlefish...same applies for other IEMs listed on that store)...

Believe me, I don’t watch those crazy esoteric fruit channels on YouTube, but it does amaze me what people will pay for exotic fruit. Makes you realize that their are other crazies buying stuff that are also not happy to experience (just) the norm. Only their investments disappear when you eat them!

I'm done with the IEM hobby barring Maestro Mini side quest, and TOTL superboss, hoping 2024 pumps out something better than the u12t for $1,500

Congrats on the new purchase, sir, considering the amount of acclaim the Supernovas have gotten, I hope they really work well for you and accomplish scratching that itch for the time being.

It's a great feeling when you're confident in your current collection and can just sit back, enjoying the music rather than constantly chasing the unicorn

I can't stop myself from buying all these budget IEMs even though I have a few sets that are a lot more expensive and should not be in the same stratosphere. Got the EW200, TRN Conch, and now I'm about to order the Zero 2 and CCA Rhapsody. Curious they compare with each other and to more expensive IEMs

I know chasing many budget sets can seem useless or maybe others will tell you to just stop buying the budget ones and save up, but honestly, if that's what you enjoy doing in this hobby, then do it. One of my buddies enjoys trying IEMs under $100 all the time to compare with the rest of the market, that's how he enjoys the hobby and I don't see anything wrong with that!
