Hello everyone here. Long time lurker first time posting. Will attend first Canjam the coming weekend. Funny how i had my first double DD iem from Audio Technica ten years ago and now back in fashion. IEMs I had westone 3 followed by Massdrop K10 and iSine 20 before I stopped following for awhile. Headphones I tried a variety of budget planars before stopping at mrspeakers ether 2 which i found difficult to enjoy due to humid Singapore.

I got back into the hobby with the release of Timeless which signaled that good sound quality need not be expensive. Over the past year I bought almost every hype release under $200 which I stopped recently to be more selective. I just sold SA6 Ultra which I thought to be airy probably due to the hulk pro mini cable used. Now I am left with Z1r, P5, Lan, CCA HM20 (surprisingly good), VE SIE, Zen3 and the discovery of the year Aür Neon Pro and Aure. Incoming will be VE Grand Duke, Aür Alita and whatever Aür decides to release in the future. Peace

PS if anyone wants to try Neon Pro, i will be at Canjam on Saturday

I came across the S12 Pro for roughly this price a month or so ago. I bought a set as a backup to my original S12. $90USD is a great price for it.

As long as you can deal with the slight top-end heat. The S12 Pro is amazing, for me anyway? For $90 it delivers a uniquely fast bottom-end with that planar character! Such a huge difference from retail, and the Pro cable is cool! The whole package is very complete. IMO

Agree. Sonically it’s basically indistinguishable from the original S12, but the finish of the shells is better and the cable is way better. Overall the S12 Pro is probably what the S12 should have been from “go.”
