Thanks for posting. I've been waiting for a good deal on the HDs and just ordered them. :D

And here's Steve Guttenberg's review of the HD versions, and he's heard both: http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/noontec-zoro-hd-true/4505-7877_7-35755682.html

I'm tempted for a pair, but I really do no need them. Happy listening!

Canadian deal.
Sonystore has the MDR-1R (both colours) for $180 using discount code VOUCHERHEADPHONES.

https://store.sony.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=100803&storeId=20153&langId=200&productId=8198552921666515237

Not as good as the rakuten deal but good for Canadians. Also deals on the MDR-1RBT and XBA4 using same coupon code

anyone know if the refurbs are legit?

Yah very. I've purchased from them and they were great. My deal was a bit different though. The headphones were new but the box was slightly damaged but damaged enough that they couldn't sell them as new. So basically I got the HD650's new for $299!! I've since upgraded to the LCD's but the HD650's still get plenty of run. They're just great great headphones.

Thanks,

VMinnovations are great to deal with.  Last time I ordered  a pair of refurbed Amperiors from them, unfortunately it seemed to have gotten damaged during the shipping.  Customer service was very fast and not only did they cover return shipping costs, they shipped me a brand new sealed in box pair as a replacement.  I just jumped on the HD650 deal just now as I been waiting for them to come back in stock for awhile, hoping that there'll be no problems with damages this time, but in the worst case scenario, at least I know that customer service will be top notch and that they will take care of things.

Have any of you guys who ordered the HD650s from VMinnovations gotten a shipping confirmation?  I just called in to ask about shipping details and was told that the HD650 refurbs are actually not in stock despite the website saying that they are.  I just went ahead and requested a cancellation so that I could get my money back quicker but was wondering if there were any in stock in the first place or if it was just a system error (to my knowledge, the website said they were out of stock yesterday).
