Three Skullcandy Uprock? But why? Do they sound different from their other model? Last time I listen to my son Skull I've gave him my Phiaton MS300.

I bought three Skullcandy Uprocks and some other stuff from amazon for a total of $90, then I bought the Fiio E6 from head-direct and $30 worth of opamps on ebay, now I'm waiting for cyber monday..........

Yeah, I listened to all the Skullcandy models, my favorite is Uprock, the Aviator and G.I. are okay, the rest all sound horrible.

Not sure how to explain the sound, it's not high-quality, but it's like you stepped into a vintage car and heard the best classic rock on the radio in your life.

I actually didn't really mind the Sk pro's when I had them way back. They were my first headphone at 15 and performed decently well for 70$ headphones. However, I recently tried the aviators and it was pretty bad to my likings... It's funny how the ear changes.

They only set from SK that I was considering was the Aviator but found out the sounded bad too.  My kids have SK just for the good warranty. But now they are starting (at 16) to realized how better other headphone sound (They liked my Denon D5000) and appreciate the music not just the Boom Boom sound. It's all about evolution

I can definitely avoid that one then.

Yeah, though it's not showing the most recent $270 on http://camelcamelcamel.com/Sennheiser-Dynamic-Professional-Stereo-Headphones/product/B00004SY4H

And it appears $314 is about the lowest price in recent, though I promise I got mine for $270 not long ago on the Lightning Deal.  I'd pay $314 without hesitation honestly, but maybe check back to see if they do go down any lower than $314.

I can't find when I bought the HD 600 for $270 in my order history...

The Aviator looks the best, but you can't judge a book by it's cover I suppose, I thought it was average, I hated how vocals took a backseat in the performance, whereas on the Uprock they sounded more real and emotional.

I could only use the equipment the store had set up, so I looked for the best acoustic track and listened to "Last Nite" by The Strokes on the Aviator and Uprock, and like 40 other cheap headphones Lol.

Seems to be about the right time frame, if I had to guess.

I'm wrong, it was 8/9/11 when I got mine.  So I was in with palmfish.  Not that it matters, though maybe it shows that Amazon puts them up on Lightning Deals for $270 more often that I thought.

Not sure how good these sound, but looks like a copy of the Monster Beats, but whole lot cheaper.
