i had the same dilemna, r1 seems a bit better than trn conch (based on the single tone deaf monk opinion that is the first and only available at the moment of 11.11) but the price difference is large so i grabbed conch with the $15 discount on linsoul so it was $20 not a big risk even if it is bad (i had problem with trn ba5 in the past it was my only iem that failed over the 20 iems i owned so trn is low in my brand trust list) and i'll wait for more reviews before deciding for the r1 (my s12 is built like a tank so letshuoer is high in my brand trust list (artti is a sub-company, no idea why they make unknown sub-companies when the mother brand is well reviewed, unless they want to lower price and service quality without hurting the mother company reputation)

yes we came to the same obvious conclusion, what is your goto iem of the moment ? mine is olina(vent mod) in one ear s12 in the other ear, letting my brain mix the 2 signatures (+6db boost in the sub bass to add rumble)

When I owned both the S12 and Z12 for comparison, I did try the S12 in one ear and Z12 in the other. After a short while, it sounded totally cohesive.
