Probably the TH-X00. Mostly because they are closed and hit harder. The X2 is more of a "hybrid" sound if you will. An open can with same actual bass impact.....that being said, it still can't quite compete with closed headphones...especially ones like Fostex that have that wonderful thump to them....and with your music style I'd go for them.....HOWEVER....we are talking double the price here and not to mention they won't be available again until February or so. I don't think you would be disappointed in the X2 but maybe look into something else....maybe the vmoda m100. I for one will never be selling off my X2's. I love them quite a bit.
