I want recommendations, not for short, one time sounds like the boom in Pink Floyd's Learning to Fly, but rather continuous things like the echo in the background exhale in Puscifer's Queen B...

...or the incredible three dimensional "knocking" sounds in Sound From The Ground's Beautiful Feeling...

..or the gentle tapping directly on your eardrums of the beat in Hot Chip's In the Privacy Of Our Love...

You know, sounds which are out of this world, basically. Sounds which reach out from your speakers and enter your body and mind through strange ways you didn't think was possible. :)

(Also, for anyone who haven't heard these tracks before, don't try to listen for the sounds via Youtube... you can't hear even half of it there... there is no depth, no 3D effect, nothing special on Youtube at all... you need a more high definition source to get the full effect of what I'm talking about, but when you get it, I think you'll understand.)

I don't know if I'm following you completely but here's one you might enjoy.

I am probably misunderstanding but it's a good song nonetheless.

That's eargasmic. Cheers!

I'd recommend some Puscifer and John Frusciante. I found this thread trying to find similar music.

I need to find the suitable terms for it so I can find more. I was thinking sonic music. Or sonically interesting music.

But it seems headphone test tracks are a good place to look here!
