The Beyerdynamic Tesla DT 1350 Impressions thread

Yep, I got mine from Long & McQuade too. I checked their stock online, drove down to the shop and had them in my greasy mitts 15 minutes later. It was the easiest , most instantly rewarding toy acquisition I've done - especially in Canada. Less than 24 hours after deciding I wanted them, I had em.

EDIT: I'll also add that it was especially nice to pay the list price rather than the completely unjustified 20-50% markup many Canadian retailers enjoy.

I was pretty surprised myself that there wasn't a markup.

Have you guys seen the news on the new Manufaktur T50ps? If the DT 1350 got the Manufaktur treatment would you buy them again just for some customization?

Some of the colors for the Manufaktur are in my opinion rather garish looking.

If they used the same options as the 770/880/990s I could almost bite.  I'd love one in black and chrome.

These look sexy as hell, are comfy, and have a great soundstage with movies and stuff but the treble just makes my ears bleed.

Pft, you guys and your chrome. :p

Not saying I'm a big fan of the leather either, but if some good, subtle colors are offered, I may very well have to go for it...

Gentlemen if you want a good example of what the DT1350 is capable of look into the artist Alain Caron. He is a jazz bassist from Canada. The albums 5 and Le Band so far sound wonderful on the DT1350.

Jazz is my favorite genre on the DT 1350s--listened to nothing but Coltrane and Bohren und Der Club of Gore on my 1350s today.

As it is a fan club, may I just say that I looooooooove them ?

Seriously, the DT 1350 ends my long (as in several years) journey to find a portable pair of headphone that I like. And I'll soon pair it with a TTVJ Slim for even better results.

I've been thinking of doing that myself. Let us know how it turns out.
