^ Bingo!

Got the Wallin' Jennys album you recommended today (Bright Morning Stars) and loving what I'm hearing with the W3000ANVs. Simply some of the best female vocals I've heard and the W3000s hit the nail right on the head.

Glad you like it the live album maybe even better

I absolutely love these and they are now my end state cans, I've owned PS1s, RS1s, LCD2, L3000, HF1 and 2, HP1000s, to name a few and have k1000s in the house along with the AD2000s and they are my go to full size headphone. So much so that I am selling the K1000 rig I sought after for so long. I know some may not agree and that is fine as it's my rig and my preference but for me these are an absolute bargain for the sound.

JP I agree these for me are as good as it gets with my hd800 the journey has ended for me with my cans and my  setup is where I want it finally with amps and sources. the CSP2 and soloist cover all the bases and the Oppo BDP95  is as good as it gets.

I continue to greatly enjoy the W3000ANV. They are married to my Leben CS300, and they love each other a lot :D

Agreed. They are spectacular headphones. I love them with both my Liquid Fire and GS-X (with a slight preference for the GS-X).

My W3000ANV is definitely the best dynamic headphone I've heard, and like most here, have heard most of the usual suspects.  Only top end I haven't heard is the TH900.  Amping requirements aren't that stringent either.  They sound equally good straight out of my Anedio D1 headphone out as they do out of my Liquid Fire.

But I've recently been abducted by the mafia and am mostly a SR-007 guy now.  But that shouldn't diminish the greatness of the W3000ANV.  It is a brilliant headphone, producing an incredibly engaging and seductive sound.

I love having one closed with my HD800 and this is outstanding and the best closed phone I have owned

Hey, I finally got curious enough to get the W3000ANVs and I was shocked at how good they are!
I bought the ATHW5000s a few years back and didn't like them at all and quickly sold them (they sounded weird and squirmy and a little tipped up and didn't have a firm bass,
and this turned me off to ATH for a long time).
So I was really surprised that these are so great, with smooth organic vocals, pristine highs, firm bass, litte if any midrange glare from CDs, and nice balanced sound,
and I couldn't stop listening to them last night. My HD800s have a little too analytical vocal reproduction for me sometimes, and the ATHs are more relaxing and silky,
and maybe a little less detailed, but not obviously so. They don't gloss over things or sound blunted at all. They are very well tuned for my tastes.

They are right up there in quality with my LCD3s and TH900s, and, although they are a new toy, I may actually like the sound better in some important ways.
There is something very organic and liquid and saturated and addictive about the mids, especially as noted the vocals.

The fit is slightly strange, and I have to adjust them a bit to avoid feeling like they are falling off my head, but I've got that figured out now. (There seems to be no adjustment mechanism on them that I can find.)
And they are very light, too.

So I'm very happy with these, and I recommend them as a real bargain.
