Crackling issue? I hear crackling on some songs and sometimes when people talk on youtube videos, but I always though it was from to highly compressed audio.

That "cracking" you here is the M50's extreme responsiveness to clipping.  (IE bad source)

Okay good. I was worried my beloved headphones where damaged already... I once bought a brand new TV that buzzed on some movies when people would talk... I was depressed haha.

I just got mine a few days ago based on a review from MKBHD on youtube.  And I must say...very nice.  But I'm also coming from a pair of $20 Sony headphones so i'm still in training.  Did spend some time listening to the SR60i that my boss has and was kinda torn but I wanted the closed back headphones so these won out.  No regrets.

ATH-M50 is my second headphone in my life (I just bought it yesterday). My first ones were HD-650. What I love about Ath-M50 is that it makes me appreciate my HD-650s so much more .  However, I think my ath-m50s might be fake. I notice the "R" logo is not centered and that the "Audio Technica" logo on the headband is slanted slightly. I also got a chinese manual in the box. I've posted some photos of my headphone. Do you guys think it might be fake?
