Long time lurker first time poster!

I am a audiophile in search of better sound. What is my next upgrade?. I love the HD800 and I am looking for something to compliment them. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Depends how much you want to spend.
 
HD800 stock sound with a good amp are best for classical.
 
So the opposite would be more bassy and forward.

Thank you for your reply. I should of been more specific. I love the tube sound of the DarkVoice. I listen to mostly rock and hard rock and acoustical guitar. The HD800 are completely neutral sounding, looking for something that will give it a little color. I am looking for either a amp or a DAC upgrade. Whichever will give me better sound.

Thanks for the suggestions. I heard the way to upgrade is headphones -> amp -> source, for best sound. So I believe after an amp upgrade I'll go for a source upgrade next. Man this hobby gets expensive.

Get something portable ? Like a custom IEM ? Although that would be a side grade
