I need to make a telephone indicator a bright LED would be fine.

The problem is when I have my headphones on I miss phone calls and a visual indicator on my desk would solve the problem.

Even better would be a way of cutting out the amp when the phone rings. Has anyone built anything like this or knows of a circuit ?
cheers

Each LED needs it's own current limiting resistor. A 1K or 1.2K in series with each LED instead of the 560R will ensure the correct current in each. Otherwise they may not share the current evenly.

As I am sure you are aware, the ring signal is about 90V 20 Hz AC, and can give a painful shock, so be careful.
