Can anyone in Europe tell me if the Telefunken PCL805 tubes are still available? I am out of Telefunken tubes, and replaced them with RCA PCL85 tubes, which completely suck. Thanks!

I don't think the Telefunken PCL805 is currently in production, but you can find them every once in a while. I recently bought some from different sources.

I presume you are using them in an audiovalve RKV? What difference do you hear when you substitute the RCAs for the TFKs? Did you upgrade the Opamp of the RKV?

I find the RCA PCL85 tubes to be sterile with glare. The Telefunken PCL805 tubes are liquid, and smooth in the upper midrange, and treble. I have not done the op amp upgrade.
