  I don't believe that the price will be 1900$, that would be nearly 3x the price of the UD-501, and it doesn't make any sense, since you can buy the UD-501+HA-501 combo for a lot less money.
 
I'll wait for reviews, but while the technical specs are impressive, the internals of the unit look less organized than the UD-501, and features like the clock sync in my opinion are mostly useless and increase the cost unnecessarily. That money could be invested in improving the power supply and the headphone amplifier (it is class AB, while the HA-501 is class A and beefier but doesn't offer a balanced option, so probably a new model will follow).
 
Anyway, before making any assumptions the wise thing is to wait until reviews appear.

I won't be able to afford it if they will sell it for 1900 USD. 
1,000 USD would be my limit for a Teac DAC.

This is awesome. Is this a Japanese version or a US version? Japan uses different voltage. You may need a voltage adapter.

Of course. I like the $999 price tag as well. I think Teac guys read my comment on this thread then changed their price from $1800 to $999.
This DAC has DXD and DSD 256 support. I'm definitely buying it.

The Japan price of UD-503 is 160,000 Yen, that usually means a USD price of $1,600, so if they have cut the USD price to $999 that is a massive bargain.

I spoke to this guy he paid $ 1255. Local dealer it is $1199 list price selling on hifi heaven for $999
Won't be available till mid September.i put a deposit on one.

None of these will fit your socket though.... Japan uses different voltage so you all need to wait for proper international version release.

In China, they're selling UD503 for 1100 USD.
It's likely that we will see it here in the states for 999 USD.

Hifiheaven.net just confirmed to me that they're selling a US version and the price is correct.
They're accepting 100 USD deposits for mid September shipping.

I expect its price would be 999 or lowerer few months after its initial release... perhaps $899?
UD 501 now sells for $650 as brand new.

$999.99 is what they will sell for not $899. retail is $1199.
the ud501 had a rebate in july that gave you $150 off one it ended.
i dont know if the UD503 is going to replace the UD501 we will see

UD 501 list price is € 799, and in most e-shops are now selling for 630-650 €.
I hope, that a similar situation with the price will be also at the UD 503,
and in a few months will be sold at a lower price.
For € 900 (750 € without VAT) would be interesting for me to buy
