Actually, if you want to stretch your budget out a little bit, then you can get the SMSL SH-9 amp used and Sennheiser HD250 Linear II here and still have enough money to repair your Rega Brio 3:

My Cambridge audio cd broke so I found this Arcam CD73 on eBay for £70 and a ifi zen can for £75.

I ordered the Sundara closed back and found I would need to EQ them to get them to sound how I like, so got the Sundara for £190 on eBay. They are a big improvement than the closed back to my ears.

Very happy with the sound of this set up.

First listen this evening so not had much time with different music types, but just listened to 'metronomy forever' which I'd never heard all the way through and it was unlike any other listening experience I've ever had before. Very pleasurable. Will update when I've had more time with it..
