i'm having difficulties figuring out where the (left, right, ground) wires connect to on the input and output jacks (switchcraft 1/8").

can someone please help me? thank you.

hey man, I too am throwing together a cmoy and had the same problems when it came time to wire panel components. Turns out if you just take a closer look at the open side of the jack it's pretty straightforward. Mine went something like 2 and 3 are right channel 4 and 5 are left and the lone post (maybe 1) should be the ground. If you have any other questions let me know.

Grab the datasheet from Mouser, or do a search as it has been diagramed ad nauseum. These jacks have 2 pins for each channel and 1 for ground. 1 of the two inps for each channel are switched, meaning that they disconnect when a plug is inserted, so make sure you wire to the correct ones, and remember that tip on a stereo plug is L channel, ring is R channel and sleeve is ground.
