@FiiO - Do you plan to release an upgraded version of the PL50 to fully support the R9’s increased power demands? (15V @ 3A). Perhaps the PL60 or PL100, etc.?

…since the PL50 only supports 2A at that voltage.
Dear friend,

The R9 is designed with 15W reserved output for powering the two USB ports.
So generally, PL50's 30W is completely enough for the R9. (45W is the max power consumption of the R9.)

Best regards

Hello!

I wanna buy one FiiO PL50 linear power supply for my DAC: Gustard Audalytic AH90 This power supply is compatible with my DAC right? Another question. Which is better for the power supply device? if I always turn on/off the switch or if I turn on and I leave the switch on position always? I don't wanna broke the switch button. :)

Hi, the FiiO PL50 is compatible with your DAC. I don't know though if it is best to leave it constantly ON. Search this thread, FiiO must have answered this question if I remember well.

Dear friend,

Please turn the power switch off immediately after use. If it is left unused for a long time, please disconnect the AC input power.

Best regards

It's only happened that one time and I use it most every day. So hopefully it won't happen again. Just in case though I picked up some replacement fuses on Amazon.
And... it blew again. So just put in one of those fuses from Amazon and its back to working again. So this makes two blown fuses in three month. Are others having similar issues periodically blowing out their fuses?

It's unfortunate when fuses blow so much. I would send the whole device in to warranty to get it thoroughly checked. The internals of the PL50 look similar to LHY Audio which is a sub brand of Jay's Audio. The switches of LHY Audio are different though. Just wondering how Fiio is related to that brand.

What is the load device of your PL50? Is there any overload situation? In addition, it is recommended that you turn on the power of your PL50 first and then turn on the subsequent device. Of course, this is not necessary.

I'm using the PL50 with the FiiO M17. I have been generally first turning on the PL50 before the M17.

The first replacement fuse came with the PL50 and this second one is a slow blow fuse so hopefully it will last longer this time. 🙏
