Hi head-fiers,

This might sound like a weird question. But.

I'm looking to bring a headphone amp/dac to work and my criteria are two fold. Firstly I'd like something that'll de-muddify the mids of AT W1000X headphones and power them nicely. But equally as importantly, I need it to be pretty small and unassuming, and somewhat portable, so I can be listening to awesome sound without attracting too much attention. In other words, I love my LD MKVI+ but could never bring that thing to work. Can be an amp/dac combo or seperates. Budget is less than $500 but that's not strict.

Any ideas? I've read about the Matrix M-Stage HPA-2 and that seems like a nice option but I've never heard it.

Thanks for the suggestions, didn't realize Schiit made a portable amp/dac.

Is there anything a bit more powerful that'll really fill out the AT W1000X? Doesn't have to be fully portable.
