Hey all,
I bought a iMac for the Wife and will soon have my computer to myself again!
I am thinking about installing linux... most likely Ubuntu as the last time I gave linux a spin it was with Debian and I hear they are related.
Anyways. Is there a relatively inexpensive sound card that both works in linux [and WinXP] and has balanced outputs? Absolute fidelity is not an issue... basically looking for a quick and dirty way to get balanced out for my tube amp so that I can use my headphones for casual listening and gaming.
Also, how hard is it to switch between audio outputs in Linux? I will still want to have my Alien Dac/T-Amp/Polk Speakers setup as a switchable option...
Thanks in advance,
Jay
