Hello!
I have a friend that loves their Creative Aurvana Live! but I'm thinking of getting them something as a slight step up. I'm thinking a similar signature, but perhaps a little nicer. The sound of the CAL is pretty great, but what is a little higher up the food chain in a similar signature? I was thinking maybe an Amperior or the Beyer DT770. The Denons are the obvious choice, but I've heard the new Denon line-up isn't as impressive as the former. Any other thoughts?

Soundmagic HP100 are better than DT770, Sennheiser HD-25-1 II are good, so i guess the amperior is great too.

Ya, thanks. I was involved in the CAL! decision, I guess we did too well, because under the few-hundred-dollar mark, there isn't much that is all that much better.

Thats true, but the midrange could be a lot better and a little less warmth and better highs. but the CAL is great yes.
