Can someone listen to their copy of Aja to check if they can hear this on their copy. In 06-I Got The News at about 2:19 I can hear some static. It's on my CD copy, not just the FLAC version in case you're wondering. There are no scratches on my CD.

Yes there is static in I Got the News, its the movement of the fader, they tried eliminating it, but couldn't

Yep, I can hear it too. I'm listening to the 1999 Remaster.

I love mistakes in old recordings... It gives them character.

It's not subtle; I was just surprised to find an artifact like that in an otherwise flawless recording by recording artists who paid so much attention to detail. At least it's not my CD or FLAC copy that needs replacing.

I actually just noticed it the day before the original post. I had never really listened to the album with headphones or on any decent equipment before. When I first heard it I thought it was my imagination considering that this album is a legend.
