I'm trying to get another ipod, something small like a nano or shuffle for excercising. However, I want to understand clearly on the SQ and which ipod sounds the best. Here is what I understand so far:

2G ipod shuffle hiss in the background
2G ipod nano sounds like crap
1G ipod shuffle is the best sounding ipod (stock)

Not sure about the 1G nano though, which is what i'm thinking about getting. So if anyone can help me out on the SQ thing, that'll be great. Even though I'm only exercising, I think I would not feel like excercising if my music sounds like dirt...

You might have better look getting SQ in a flash player that doesn't scratch when you breath on it by looking beyond apple.
