So, look what I found today while browsing ye olde interwebs!!!! New kit from iFi audio. Been feeling a bit lazy on here lately but this got me wondering...
ZEN DAC Signature - on DROP no less! I'm already wondering how this differs from the ZEN DAC? No mention of the the price but the description goes as follows -
"Our exclusive Signature version elevates the ZEN DAC’s DAC performance with upgraded circuitry from iFi’s flagship Pro Series delivering exceptional poise and accuracy to any downstream amplifier, but especially the purpose-codesigned ZEN CAN Signature 6XX with matching 4.4mm balanced inputs. Like a polished version of an already highly-prized precision instrument, the ZEN DAC Signature is truly something special."
So, it going to be more than the ZEN DAC, not that the ZEN DAC's at lot when you walk in our world! I do wonder how much more special it is and what the price differential is and is it worth it? If it uses their Pro iDSD tech, then I can see it being stunning. It will be interested to compare the specs.
I was thinking of getting the ZEN DAC as a desktop DAC for my new office set-up but do I now opt for this instead? I like the colourway!
Not got Senns so it working with the 6xx ZEN CAN is not a selling point for me. Thoughts anyone? Anyone doing a review?
