Sony Qualia-017 portable MD player will be released in the beginning of June. This could be the best sounding portable audio ever!! Given its pricetag, I definitly a whole lot more expensive than my C555ES. Man speaking of an ultimate portable audio!!. Who will be the first to buy???

$1900 is basically paying for $200 worth of sound quality (not even actually) and $1700 worth of build quality and appearance. for that price, it does not even feature hi-md or the HD digital amp. but I am sure the e720 (HD Digital Amp) with ER4P which is roughly $450 total will destroy it in sound quality. those earbuds look nothing more like ex71 with a metal housing and the amp inside it is probably the same as the e10. although I'd love to be proven wrong.

Speaking of the Sony Qualia line -- as anyone mentioned the SACD system (Qualia 007) or the 36 inch monitor (Qualia 015)? That's what I want...oh, well, not a lotto winner yet...

For $1900 I can fly to Japan and get some of that.

I'd rather save a bit more $ and get the Qualia 010 headphones and a "normal" MD player.

Round trip to Japan and back to the U.S. will cost you over 1k. $900 wont last you very long in Japan, less than a week maybe.

Well I figure that special service I get in the Qualia store won't last once I leave the store. $900 could get you one hell of a night though
