So, any updates on the cover art issue?
I cannot use Media Go since I am using linux and everything works on drag+drop style...
I am tagging the music with the proper artwork but nothing happens within the player...
any suggestions?

no PNG. no weird progressive JPG setting, smaller than 1000*1000 (the screen is 300pixels anyway).

something crazy goes on

using mp3? so the dreaded ID3 tag version issue i think 2.4 or so is the most recent.. but don't know at all as i 've done with mp3 since 2012

Tried both 2.3 and 2.4 but still nothing happens....
I am trying to figure out the difference between the 3 albums the artwork of which appears normally, and the other 30 albums for which I see nothing...
Any good ideas will be appreciated!

(tried already 5 different tagging software available in Linux)

2.4 is a no go with sony. you must be in 2.3

try using a picture that works from another album, just to make sure if it's the file or the picture. if the problem is the picture, get another one online ^_^

Hi folks,

I bought an SOny A15 on the weekend as a backup for my PONO, could someone please help me with the following queries:

1. Where can you get an extra proprietary USB cable? DO the cables for the older Walkman's work?
2. Where can you get line-out cable to connect to a headphone amp.

Besides the propritary USB, average headphone amp and lack of DSD the A10 series Walkman is a nice sounding product!

Thanks

1. Yes they do work but if only if they are the same WM-PORT 22-pin (i had an waaay older walkman which used USB micro B like port)
2. You can get the Fiio L5 (analogue) on mp4nation.net, accesoryjack.com, amazon and the WMC-NWH10 (Digital out) amazon or import it from japan

Here's a random question: Is there are way to have the NWZA17 scrobble to Last.FM? I've looked into Zenses2 and QTScrobbler, but I'm not particularly tech-savy when it comes to these things.

TIA

I don't think so because this player does not connect to internet, so maybe your best bet is using mp3 or flacs, aac alac etc

Has been rocking the A15 with Pico Slim for a while and loving it!!! Thinking of a backup and the recent FiiO X3K looks mighty tempting. Any one has experience with both the X3K and the A10+Pico Slim combo?

The PONO sounds about 5% more spacious, but besides that not much differentiates the in sound quality, the Pono has a slightly better headphone amp. I'm listening to my A15 now with the Fiio E12 amp and my AKG 7xx cones, it sounds quite nice for the $250AUS I paid...the fact that it has Bluetooth and a built in FM radio makes it even more handy than the PONO..all it lacks is DSD support, if it had that, I wouldn't hesitate to call it a Pono killer, but it doesn't.....:eek:
