Is it not possible to adjust the volume via your DAC or amp? From a diagram of the Walkman audio path that I've seen, USB output is pretty much bitstream out from the application level, bypassing all of the audio processing in the Walkman itself. When I use my Walkman with my Ferrum Erco, I use the Erco's own volume control.I ran into a problem. When connected to an external Dac via USB, volume cannot be adjusted. Is there a solution to this problem?
Hi, I'm new here and after reading along a lot, I signed up to say thank you, among other things, for the wealth of information about the ZX707. I ordered a JP version through Buyee (10% Raktuen promotion) and had it delivered to Germany. Very easy and quick processing up to this point. Now I have to wait and see, expected delivery is on Tuesday. I'm very excited, before that I mainly listened with the Qudelix 5K and on the PC with the IFi Zen DAC/CAN V2.
If you are interested, here is the timeline for ordering via Buyee:
- 03/05/24 – Order from Buyee (Rakuten – Shop Sound11)
- 03/06/24 – Order completed by Buyee
- 03/07/24 – Arrived at Buyee warehouse
- 03/08/24 – Shipping by Buyee(Buyee Air Delivery FedEX)
- 03/12/24 – Estimated delivery by FedEX
Thanks at all and greetings from Germany

Brought my 707 to CanJam NYC and it served me very well. Saw 1 other guy who brought one and using it there too. Could be more at the show, but I didn't see them.
Hours and hours of using the 707 to test the world's best IEMs and it didn't even go below 60%. I bet if I didn't charge it after the 1st night, it could most likely have enough battery life for 2nd day too. So pocketable and portable. I saw countless audiophiles pull out phones with dongles, top tier but heavy and chunky DAPs, or rigs that look so inconvenient and cumbersome to carry around all day. That's the thing I love most about the 707, besides its sound quality. The battery life, how fast it recharges, and the portability of it, plus how fast it is to use with its snappy UI and screen scrolling.
My JP 707 on high gain had enough juice to power the most powerhungry IEMs, like the Subtonic Storm and Symphonium Titan, with more than 20 more levels to spare. It even powered the ZMF Caldera closed very well, although it's not the best sounding source for that headphone. The 707 however, sounds great with my Bokeh.

I can hear no change in sound signature when changing language on my 1ZM2. Can also be changed to a different language without a play interrupt unlike my ZX.
On the ZX707 I do notice a clear difference and much prefer JP language

How can a language setting impact SQ?
