I believe any effects only apply to the Sony app - and they also affect battery life

ZX507 and Andro 2020 it's like they were made for each other, lovely crisp sound.

sound effects apply system wide, there is special app-shortcut for DSP settings: EQ, etc.

The better question is, if it is beneficial to go Android 11 on the ZX507!
If performance and battery suffers, than no..
Don't touch a running system!

I heard zx507 is not powerful enough to push them to the limit.
ier z1r might be better alternative. however I am not sure if power is enough. i listened to ier m7, and I was surprised how hard to drive they appeared based no stated sens and imp, compared to mdr 1Am2

I am really enjoying the Sony ZX507, and have barely touched my M11+ LTD. I also just got a decent deal on the Sony WM1A. So I'll be posting the M11 up in the classified soon.

That's good to hear. Somethings happened to my zx507, maybe burn in really is necessary, and the sound has really improved. I now also prefer it to my fiio. Sony build quality is also so good.

I can second this. Love my Andromeda 2020 and my Sony 507. I also love the Timeless by 7Hertz with the 507.
