I knew I had an old post around here which specified just how much battery drain I observed while in sleep mode for 24 hours:

In short: less than 3% drain per 24 hours. Not perfect. But for an Android-based device? Pretty good.

Yes that's about what I get as well. Usually plays 3-4 hours in the evening and just leave it on stand by for the rest of the time dropping about 3-4% in those 20 hours

  Maybe that's why they went with Jelly Bean. Lollipop battery life isn't that great for a lot of devices from what I've read on XDA (WiFi battery drain was insane on my Nexus 5 but now fixed on Marshmallow).

I wonder if the Onkyo DP-X1 DAP which is Android 5 is Marshmallow? I'm not an Android user, love my Blackberry OS, but seeing as how I'm getting the Onkyo I will need to get some Android literacy.

I always keep my unit on sleep mode, I just push the play to listen, and pause using the play button, that's it, and it last me about 10 days, I think android is not suppose to be completely turned off.

So sad, I just received my Z7 and the ZX2 cannot power it to my satisfaction at all, UGH...
 
Sure doesn't help that Sony made the line out volume so freakin' low, so when connected to my VorzAmp Pure II+, I gotta turn up the gain...which causes hiss from the Z7.
 
Now I'm forced to use my DX90...

Guys any one have some noise floor or hiss with Shure 846 (if not play music is very annoying)? I burn in mi ZX2 for more than 200hrs but noise still there...I dont know if normal or a fail unit....

With sensetive phones there is some noise when no music is playing and the screen is on

I don't have 846, but all of my gears, there is no noise. Even when I double amplify the ZX2 from 3.5 mm out toward rev 477 and tripled amping output toward another 1600W amplifier ? Noises ? Nah.

it should be normal, man. that noise is already in an acceptable range. the zx100 has a larger noise. but for someone so picky about noise like me, it is still ok for portable. i think i asked something about hiss before in this thread. and someone answered that it's related to the class d amp.

Yes, the capacitors charging up hiss ? That was what Sony meant within the burn-in period . Should not last more than 100 hours, in some cases people reported it gone around 250-300 hours mark. The ZX2 done burning in at around 250 hours

i think the capacitors do help. in capacitance : zx2 > zx100 > a17. and in hiss: a17 > zx100 > zx2.
