If you are mildly careful with them they can last you decades according to reports by long time users! I got mine and out of the box I modded them with the beyer pads, love the feel of velour, and they are pure love on my ears

Absolutely love my V6's. On my Sony E-Series Walkman I EQ'd some of the higher frequencies down, and now I love them almost as much as my K271's. Still detailed with nice, pleasant highs, and really surprising mids. Plus, having bass is a nice change for me.
