If by some miracle they're an improvement over the worst phones I have ever had the misfortune of hearing, the MDR-V200s, yeah open away!
Otherwise errrr no.

Honestly, the MDR-V150 is the very definition of low-end-flavoured V-CRAP. (But then again, so is the MDR-V200 and the MDR-V250V.) Muddy, no real bass response, no real treble response, uneven midrange response. Plus, it's extremely uncomfortable and quite flimsy.

I take it you've never had the misfortune of hearing a pair of Cobys?

I think you should open them and listen to them and even try to burn them in so you can fully appreciate your other headphones.

He might as well stab himself in the stomach so he can more fully appreciate the absence of pain. lol.

I used to have the v300 and it taught me the meaning of too much muddy, flabby bass.

One of my friends listens to Coby headphones.

The sound is. . . well, words don't describe it.
