These sony headphones look really beautiful, especially the silver version with brown earpads and headband.

Are the earpads replaceable? What is their price (for silver-brown version) in Europe, does anybody know?

I'm thinking of buying a good portable, closed, easy to drive circumaural headphone in the future.I own the srh840,but are big and funny looking on the head, for out of home use. There are so many headphones out now that look nice for such use,UE6000,V Moda M100,sennheiser momentum, akg k550...

Is it just me, or did the headphone get removed from SonyStyle Canada?

Hmm Bluetooth and noise cancelling are there but no regular model? I know I ordered my pair from the site and they are in transit so not sure why they removed them?? I wonder if they are out of stock and have chosen to remove the link for now for some reason, maybe pre-sales are to much for production or something.

I know when I talked to a local store they said there were over 200 units on pre-order. But the store did say they expected some in store next week. So maybe try a local Sony store.

Not necessarily a direct comparison but I did make a few comments about the M-100 about the two :-

Want more comparisons! I have read ur comparison before, but its so weird that the MDR-1R has less bass than the M-100, which isn't even designed for a basshead. I can't decide between the two!!! Or the M-80. I like that too and my wallet likes it better.

According to this slideshow, The MDR-1RBT and the MDR-1RNC have DSEE/S-master. Anyone want to venture a guess what that is? Also, strange to see the MDR-1RNC have a different frequency range and a bigger driver form the 1R and BT. It has a bigger driver but a smaller frequency response. Totally weird !!!

Is it possible to turn off "Noise Canceling" in MDR-1rnc?

About: DSEE:
"DSEE, which stands for Digital Sound Enhancement Engine, is a technology developed by Sony, to enhance the sound quality of compressed audio files by restoring high-range sound removed by the compression process"

They mention two ohm ratings one for when it's turned on (52) and one when it's off (16) so it looks like it will work with NC turned off.
