Sony Eggo MDR-D77 for $305

Wow! Anyone else want to buy a pair for $300? I've got perfect D77 eggos with fresh pads and the original case sitting in front of me. I'm thinking of unloading a few things in June to help fund some other purchases. Likely candidates to sell off: Sony MDR-D77, MDR-D66, MDR-CD1700, a D-777 discman, Audio-Technica ATH-A1000 headphones, and all my minidisc gear. The D77 actually sounds better than I remember, although I do have a better DAC and amp now.

Despite the high closing price in that auction, the D77 IMO isn't worth anywhere near $300 when it's orig price was $199. Even though the D77 is considered rare in the Eggo line up, for $300 you can get much better sounding cans than that.

Hey Paul - I was wondering if you would show up in this thread! cheers and good lucks

Well you know I had to be excited about D77s selling for $300. Gee, that would finance a Xin Reference Amp (which is your great amp with a mega capacitor. Have you checked out the thread?) Cheers!
