Something "feels" wrong, but is it? How to tell if a driver failed in your IEM.

The title pretty much highlights the concern that I've been having. I own a pair of Heir Audio 3.ai's, however, I think that one of the drivers in my left ear has failed. I want to send them back to be evaluated, but shipping regardless of the driver state is not exactly cheap. It is with this in mind that I want to make sure that every factor is taken care of before I start shipping things.

Point aside, I make my assumption based off the fact that there seems to be audio difference between the two individual IEMs in terms of clarity and richness in my own eyes when music is played back in Mono (easiest way for me to find out the similarities and differences).

Am I going about this correctly? Suggestions? Etc? All input is appreciated!

Thanks!
