Right now I am using Foobar as my primary music player, I have my media library with 20,000 odd songs (ever growing). What I would like is to be able to select say a random 100 songs everyday or every other day to copy over to my portable audio player.

I hope thats clear enough, I dont mean song by song shuffle, I mean clicking a button and getting a set of N songs randomly selected from my complete media library. Is there a provision for this in Foobar itself (ideal!) or is there some other program that can do this for me.

Thanks for that, but I would like it to be more tied with windows actually, now that I think about it, there isnt much I can do with a randomized playlist on Foobar for transferring to my portable unless I re-convert all of them.

I wish I could do it in windows where given a folder, the script will give you N files from its contents (subfolders included), and dump it in a temp folder or something. That would be fantastic.
