I'm interested in acquiring a pair of sa-5000 (most likely trading my hd 595 + some money for them) but I was thinking how do you guys pay? Straight bank transfer seems too dodgy for me, so is PayPal the most common method around here? I'm talking in the context of UK transactions only seeing as having something imported is likely to incur some charges.

depends on the seller/trader. paypal seems to be the norm, but some do ask for money orders too...

Rule of thump is to check his post count and search Buyer Feedback section.
Then see what payment he is accepting/paying by. And if he ship international, half of them doesn't seem to.

Credit card, through PayPal.
Then I am pretty safe if the seller don't ship the stuff as expected.
