I need a very basic easy to use editor for trimming/cutting video files (avi/mp4/flv/etc).  Free would be nice and without intrusive watermarks plastered in the centre of the screen.  Windows 7. Thanks.

Windows Movie Maker, or whatever it's called nowadays (it might have Live somewhere in the name now); free if you have genuine Windows. There's also VirtualDub, but that can get...complicated.
