Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones

Just my 2 cents (don't have to listen!). I had the V60 and felt it was a little lean for the KSE, and resolution was just okay. I much preferred the Mojo with it, gave body to the already lean KSE. It's a good headphone to pay with different source pairings.
Mojo 1 and 2 both sound great with the kse1200. I agree they give the Shure more body.

Would love to try the Mojo 2, esp with its lossless EQ function. Because I have the Hugo 2, haven't bothered upgrading my Mojo. Admittedly, the H2 isn't the best pairing with the KSE, because they're both neutral. But the amount of detail resolved is outta this world :)

Hehe, yeah i use it with the hugo 2 at times. The level of detail you get is nuts. Probably too much detail for more than an album at a time but it is mind blowing

I was quite fine with using it out of the V60 as when I do it's for streaming Spotify, jamming to LoFi there for hours, it does sound leaner there but everything is still pretty good and well balanced IMO. Still getting surprised at the quality of the bass I'm getting out of the Shure

I’ve tried a few combos including the wm1a and these two are now firmly attached, beautiful.

Exactly. I feel like the KSE have gotten a lot of flak on their bass, but the quality of it really is outstanding.

When I moved up from my SE846, at first I thought I was sacrificing bass. But the more I listened I realized how much better quality the KSE was.

Kse1200 doesn’t lack bass at all and neither is it over emphasised. Perfect

Hi everyone!

Could you tell me what would be a good price for the KSE1500 new, please?

Many years have passed since my last purchase. I have the HD800S, the Hifiman 500, the Westone 4 and the Etymotic 4p and several dac and amps from Audio GD, Emotiva, Ibasso and the mojo.

I'm looking for an upgrade and I'm thinking that these could be a good option.

Thanks for your help.

$1999 USD, get the KSE1200 since you already have a DAC.
