Hi Head-fiers

What do people think of the Shure E550/E530?? Are they that bad there is no threads or are they just to expensive?? What do people think of the PTH thing and whats it like on other non-Shure earphones.

What are you on about? Theres a huge E530 bandwagon here and plenty of threads on it. Its pretty much as good as it gets in IEMs without going custom.

Oh ok my mistake. I searched and there wasnt much. Are they worht the price tag? You say best IEM's without going customs but are these better than say the livewires for sound and comfort?

They're not customs, so how could they be better for comfort than the Livewires? Sorry, this question just doesn't make sense..

The E500 SE530 are the same. I term them as SE500's to keep it short.

They are my second favorite IEM next to my Livewires customs, and the cost was about the same since I got the Shure on ebay for under $300. But the Livewires isolate better, are more comfortable, and sound more balanced with good bass, mids and treble, while the Shure's need some EQ to turn up the treble.

The Shure will play detail of all the treble, it just isn't as loud up high as it should be.
