Shure E5 cord turning green

My Shure E5 cord is turning green. I've seen people post that about their E5 cords turning green ... is there anything I can do to keep it from turning greener or, even better, to make it not-green? Is it gonna turn into the Incredible Hulk?

no. no. and maybe.

honestly though, this is just a consequence of a chemical reaction that occurs. it happened to my sensaphonics too. it does not affect sound.

some companies are changing the wires they use to stop this from happening to future produced headphones. really not a big deal though.

My original Koss Plugs stayed in the drawer for so long they actually started growing webs! Then they became SpiderMan!

green is beautiful.

you could try moving to the desert (or into a giant dessicator) and stop sweating; that might prevent any more greening.
