Show us your vintage headphones!

Hi everyone.
The HD580 is my first "midrange" headphone but I'm always looking to try something else.
I just found a 1980's DT880 for 77 euros, should I get them? They look to be in pretty good condition...
(Post about the question if you can help)

Just like the fellow headfier above, I have a hd580 as well, but it's the jubilee one
Actually I found it in the Classifieds, and I'm very grateful to the fellow member who sold me this item, I guess what's even more valuable than vintage headphone is the friendship that comes from passing on these old yet wonderful headphones to each other!

Actually I took this picture last year, just to let you know I'm not a time traveller lol

Congrats to you both on getting the 580, I actually got a pair very early this year of the Precisions and they are excellent imo, I ended up selling my 58X since I wasn't using them anymore.

Sidenote but am I the only one who thinks Sennheiser should go back to trying out different grille designs for their open-backs? Their current lineup looks all so similar that it feels a bit joyless, at least to my eyes.

Nice to see all the 580s.

I use the modern chassis only for clamp, and new cable, but i still keep the 580 Heart. Vintage Sennheiser heart. This is gen II driver.

It bothered me to change the looks since it was a flat plate. Though it is reversible.

...and i carried over the flat plate XD

Two AKG K1000: The one with Snr 13xx is bass heavy, the other one with 207x is not! So don't trust people selling K1000 with Srn higher than this as bass heavy!!!

Jumping the gun by about 6 years
Sorry, don't know when vintage starts for you. This photo is from 2016 and I have bought it second hand. It is a 6 screw.
A lot of things happend in the meantime, many headphones came and went , so maybe this is why the HE6 seems so old to me.

Is that the original foam? If so it's held up really well!
