I remember that unit packaged with the Men in Black movie. It's a pretty good machine for the money.

IMO, the XA20es is 85% as good as the XA7es for a fraction of the cost. It's a keeper IMO. I like that your cassette deck matches the XA20 in design.

There is a Sony TA-E90ES Audiophile Stereo Processor/Preamp for $475 locally and it would help if you guys can advice if it's worth the price & also if it's good as an headphone amp.
I don't want to derail this thread but don't know where else to ask. You guys seem to be most knowlegeable with regards to Sony ES products.

That's a great preamp for the money. Get it if it's cherry.
That's a good price for a E90ES. Its purely a pre-amp (no tone controls) and works great with my HD800s. If its in decent physical condition, I would buy it.
