so i've gotten pretty sick of my Beats Tours considering every other person on the street has it today and i'm thinking of getting a better iem.
 
I'm willing to blow up to 400USD on this.
I listen to mostly hip-hop/pop music.
I'm looking for one where you don't have to loop it from behind, up and around your ear to wear it. I know most of the high-end iems work like that though. Just one that you insert normally.

also, are you sick of them b/c they're common or because you want better sound?

I have to admit, both actually. I've always found the beats tours to be completely crappy in blocking out noise as well.

Ortofon e-Q7 or newer version  e-Q5 are great IEMs. Both isolate well and one can wear them straight down.

Have you ever tried ones that loop over your ear? When I started into iems, I would have been skeptical but now, I find that they're by far the ones that I prefer the most! You may want to keep an open mind and try one, if you never have.
