Thanks for the info. I have as it happens (in the UK). Hififheadphones has some as does Amazon (I think from hififheadphones mind).
By today's standards, would you say the M2s still cuts it?? I tried the M0 but was way on the small side. I was edging toward a touchscreen but hiby link does away with that and I've been impressed with the shanling build and Ui previously
All three of my "budget" DAPs (with screens) - Cayin N3, Shanling M1 & M2s - use Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) DACs (AKM4452 in M1, and ), and run the HiBy Music playing S/W - so their basic sound signature is quite similar.
I like the sound of my M2s, and like the wheel/knob control interface.
Both the Shanling M2s & Cayin N3 use the AKM4490 DAC, have about the same power output, and selectable "Line Level" output.
Being able to control either DAP with the HiBy Link app, is a real convenience.
Since the M2s has a higher output impedance, if you use low impedance earbuds, or multi balanced armature earphones - you might notice slightly less low Bass quantity (while the quality is just as good), compared to DAPs with low output impedance. With high impedance earbuds, or dynamic earphones - the DAPs sound very similar to me, from the Bass, through the Midrange and Treble.
Once Shanling delivers their in-house developed "BT Remote Control" app, my M0 will be the perfect small, portable (single-ended) DAP.
For small, portable (balanced) - I can connect my earbuds/earphones to my Radsone ES100, and use BT LDAC from either the M0 or my LG V30 phone.
