Today we will release the M2 specifications.

Yes, a DAP positioning higher class than M3 is under development, but we will not call it a flagship.

The flagship is also in our blueprint, and it has to be very innovative, different from all others on the market.Thanks.

Great news all around Shanling!

When will the new higher class DAP be announced?

Really happy to hear about the improved controls

Sad to hear that hardware tone controls are going away, though

The hardware tone controls is brought by NJW1194, the volume control chip used on M3.

M2 is not with this chip, but please don't worry about the sound performance. We are not cancelling this component for cost-saving, but for the curcuit design and size control.

3rd Update: explaining the designing concept of the new wheel
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wheel of M2 learns a lot from those top SLR cameras.

Usually photographers will need to manipulate the camare function with their right thumb, which behaviour is quite similar to that you could use M2 with just one hand.

The out ring turns for scrolling items in the menu, volume adjustment in the playing interface, and the physical separated 5 buttons acts for different functions. Middle for enter/confirm, up for play/pause, down for return, left for backward and right for forward, as printed on the surface.

Logic is very clear and you will never be confused. Just to play it in the hand like a Zippo.
