Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

Could somebody tell me what exactly is the bluetooth's "High Quality" option? I found an information on a website that it might negate the delay when it comes to videos and lip sync, but don't know if this is the case.

Hi, high quality option enables apt-X. Apt-X should have slightly lower delay compared to SBC.

Regarding range, M1 was little weaker on strength of BT signal, I can only recommend to be sure its screen is facing towards your headphones / away from body, to provide BT antenna with best connection to your headphones.

@Shanling Just a suggestion maybe you can implement on M1 or on all Shanling DAPs. It's about the shuffle and repeat mode, where you can enable or disable both at the same time. It's like a feature in Ipod's.

Shuffle = ON
Repeat = ON
- Repeat playing all the songs in a folder / playlist in random order.

Shuffle = ON
Repeat = OFF
- (Folder Skip = OFF) Play all the songs in a folder / playlist in random order once, then the player will stop.
- (Folder Skip = ON) Play all the songs in a folder / playlist in random order once, then it will play the next folder.

I hope this can be implemented so we have an option to listen to a folder or playlist in shuffle mode without the same tracks being repeated.

The M1 is 2-1/2 years old (became available on AliExpress at the end of September, 2016), and has now gone out of production.
Since the actual Music Player software is provided by HiBy Music, it's not too likely that they (HiBy) will be adding any new features - but I suppose they could... :ksc75smile:

As I own a M1 and like it, I'd like to have some updates for it...

M1 was discontinued almost a year ago and we are no longer working with original creator of system used by M1.

Did anyone have this swelling battery issue? I am not very happy with it.
The battery got swollen and popped the back panel open.
It is only 2 years old and I don't use it very often.
I wonder if Shanling sells replacement part. The spec maybe too unique to find in the third market?

Sorry to hear about your battery. As much as we try with all the testing and QC, there are always few units that can show this problem. I don't think any manufacturer managed to completely got rid of this problem.

You can buy replacement battery from our partners at Shenzhen Audio https://www.shenzhenaudio.com/shanl...-bettery-for-m0-hifi-portable-mp3-player.html

Can't you implement your new system to M1?

Unfortunately not possible.

HI everybody. I have a Shanling M1, working perfectly since it was released (now with fw 4.6) Recently I paired it with a pair of AKG NC60N I bought for travelling, and they make a perfect match.
The problem is I also changed my mobile phone from LG to Xiaomi and when I try to pair the M1 with the Xiaomi (Redmi Note 7 pro) I'm not able to connect for using the HiBy Music App.
Did some of you have a similar experience? I tried to pair the M1 with three diferent Xiaomi phones and the result was the same. No success.
I also use a Hydizs AP80 and have paired it with my Huawei phone for using HiBy, without any problem.
Thank you for your replies if you have some idea on how to solve this issue.

If your list of devices list is full, then you won’t be able to pair any more devices. Is your list full? Try to delete some of the devices on your list, then try again. Maybe that will work. Just a suggestion.

I don't think so. If fact I deleted my old LG phone before trying to pair the Xiaomi. Currently I only have two devices paired. My AKG headphones and a pair of IEMs I use for jogging.
